Maxillofacial Prosthetics (or Prosthodontics) is a specialized branch of dentistry in which prosthetic replacements are provided for patients who have lost part of their jaws (maxilla, mandible, soft palate, tongue), face (eyes, ears, nose) and missing digit(s) (finger, toe, hand, foot). Such disfiguring and debilitating loss is often seen due to reasons of cancer surgery; trauma surgery; and congenital anomalies.
MaxFacIndia was founded in 2017 – by Drs. Mohit & Swati Dudani at Pune – with the sole mission to promote development at the grass roots level in Maxillofacial Prosthetics in India. Our vision is to ensure that patients of all socio-economic backgrounds receive the appropriate prosthetic advice and treatment for their missing facial and/or other body part(s).
